Finals OVER!!!!!

Now that finals are over we can all focus our power on building the robot.
We’re having a build meeting on Saturday from 4pm to 9pm at STI!
and from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday!

Please try to come to at least one of the meetings! This is valuable time for everyone to work on the robot!

No meeting Wednesday + Long meeting Friday

Since most of us need to focus on finals we will not be having a robotics meeting this coming Wednesday (1/20/10) and instead on Friday (1/22/10) we will have an extra long robotics meeting from 1 -5pm in Mr. cooney’s room.
there will be A LOT to work on and make-up, and since finals are over, everyone should be able to come.
notice:  School ends at 11:40 so that gives everyone an hour and 20 minutes to eat lunch! =]

Meeting this saturday

Meeting at STI optronics from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
We will be coming to a consensus on a design and figuring out the flaws by testing it out on a field.
ALL BUILD MEMBERS MUST BE THERE!

FRC consent and Release form (hardcopy)

Hey guys!

As winter break approaches we have two really important forms that we need you and your parents to fill out.

The first is the Parent survey, where we get a general idea of how interested your parent is in helping out.  Print out the attached survey and turn it in at Mr. Cooney’s room.  OR download it, fill it out, and e-mail it to Amanda.

The second is the consent and release form that need to be filled out EITHER electronically or on hard copy.  The link is:

https://my.usfirst.org/frc/goteams/site.lasso

If you do hard copy, turn it in  to Mr. Cooney.

This is due by Dec 18th. Take 10 minutes or so and fill both out with your parents ASAP!

Friday meetings!!!

EVERYONE should be going to Friday meetings from 3 to 5. If you can’t you need to have a legitimate reason for not coming and you need to let an officer know. ALL officers NEED to come.

Also, car wash ticket money can be turned into Marc-Antoine during Wednesday and/or Friday meetings.

We have a lot to do, so lets get to it!

Volunteering for FLL

We need 6-8 students on 11/30/2009. This will help support FIRST LEGO League. We are going to be packing up materials to send to each of the 8 regional events (t-shirts, awards, supplies, etc). The awards take some minor assembly. I’ll only be from 6:00 to 8:30pm. There will be free pizza and other food!

Preseason workshop!!!!!

The 2009-2010 preseason workshop is on Saturday, November 14th at Bonny Lake High School (10920 199th Ave Ct E Bonney Lake, WA 98391). The preseason workshop is important for new and old members alike, consisting of a series of free courses on everything FIRST Robotics (for more information about the preseason workshop and a complete list of courses, go to www.firstwa.org/FRC/Nov14thWorkshop/tabid/172/Default.aspx). The event is free to all members, although a pizza lunch may be purchased on site for five dollars. It will run from about 9:30AM-3:15PM.

We need to get a rough estimate of who can go so WRITE A COMMENT below if you can go. Also, since we need more parent drivers, if your parent’s can drive e-mail Amanda or me or write a comment below. This workshop is mandatory for everyone to go to and there will be a session suited for everyone. Everyone should meet at Interlake at around 8:30am on Saturday unless you are getting an individual ride. We will get back to school by 4:00pm. You don’t have to stay for the whole time, but that means you need to arrange for your own ride. I hope to see you there!
