Volunteering for FLL

We need 6-8 students on 11/30/2009. This will help support FIRST LEGO League. We are going to be packing up materials to send to each of the 8 regional events (t-shirts, awards, supplies, etc). The awards take some minor assembly. I’ll only be from 6:00 to 8:30pm. There will be free pizza and other food!

Preseason Workshop Carpool update!

Good news! So far, we have parents that are able to drive 24 members! However, two parents, driving a total of 12 members will be leaving around lunch. Thus, it may be a good idea to arrange pickup from Bonney Lake if you do not wish to leave at this time.

Also, Mr. Woo, who is willing to take 5 additional members, will be picking students up in South Bellevue. If this is more convenient than driving out to Interlake, PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP! Otherwise, his five seats will be useless in our effort to make sure everyone can get to the workshop.

If anyone is still interested in volunteering for FLL on Sunday, please contact Teresa ASAP!

Carwash tickets

Hey everyone, apologies for this long list of notifications from saintsrobotics.com. I’ll just make this quick: Car wash tickets to Brown Bear Car wash are here! We are REQUIRING that everyone sell at least 2 tickets each to raise money for the club, and more if you want. Just letting you know so you can let friends and family know you are selling them. They are $7 for one ticket, $30 for 5 tickets, and $50 dollars for 10 tickets. We’ll be going over this more in club on Wednesday, November 18th.

Remember, the more tickets you have, the more money we’ll have to give you guys what you want in robotics.

Preseason workshop!!!!!

The 2009-2010 preseason workshop is on Saturday, November 14th at Bonny Lake High School (10920 199th Ave Ct E Bonney Lake, WA 98391). The preseason workshop is important for new and old members alike, consisting of a series of free courses on everything FIRST Robotics (for more information about the preseason workshop and a complete list of courses, go to www.firstwa.org/FRC/Nov14thWorkshop/tabid/172/Default.aspx). The event is free to all members, although a pizza lunch may be purchased on site for five dollars. It will run from about 9:30AM-3:15PM.

We need to get a rough estimate of who can go so WRITE A COMMENT below if you can go. Also, since we need more parent drivers, if your parent’s can drive e-mail Amanda or me or write a comment below. This workshop is mandatory for everyone to go to and there will be a session suited for everyone. Everyone should meet at Interlake at around 8:30am on Saturday unless you are getting an individual ride. We will get back to school by 4:00pm. You don’t have to stay for the whole time, but that means you need to arrange for your own ride. I hope to see you there!
